Thank you to all gala attendees, sponsors, donors, and community friends for your generous support and participation in our 2023 Shining Lights Gala event.
We hope you enjoyed the gala as much as we did. It was a wonderful night of celebration, entertainment, and inspiration while we honored the contributions of outstanding community members Ms. Linda Nowicki and the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Advisory Council.
Thanks to you, we were able to raise funds essential for providing free programs and services for homebound elderly and adults with disabilities in our community.
2023 Shining Lights Honorees
This year we honored the contributions of outstanding community members and partners in our mission Ms. Linda Nowicki and the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Advisory Council.
Linda Nowicki
Trained as a volunteer for Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County in December 2012, Linda Nowicki finds “joy in the idea of making a (small) positive impact in the community” although perhaps she has that backward. In the past eleven years, she has been responsible for bringing tremendous joy to more than 1,000 local homebound elderly and people with disabilities who have received free caregiving services. Familiar with the devotion to caring for elderly loved ones, Linda understood the importance of supporting our services, taking the opportunity to do so through the Employee Giving Fund at her place of employment, Church & Dwight Co. Inc. To qualify for this funding, a non-profit organization must be nominated by an employee sponsor. Linda, serving as our employee sponsor, has nominated us 11 times to receive funding from the Church & Dwight Employee Giving Fund. In total, her support has resulted in $98,000, an amount that has surpassed her hope of making a “small impact.”
Originally from Sayreville, NJ, Linda credits her mother for instilling in her the importance of honesty, hard work, and kindness, qualities which she herself now models for her beautiful daughters, Grace and Sophia.
