Stress-Busting for Family Caregivers
Are you feeling the stress of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia?
You are not alone.
Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County has partnered with the NJ Division on Aging and Rowan University’s Institute for Successful Aging to bring a program proven to improve quality of life for caregivers. The Stress-Busting for Family Caregivers is a program that provides support to family caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s/dementia or persons with cancer, chronic disease, illness or a disability. This free, nine-week program includes topics such as:
- Stress management
- Grief, loss and depression
- Dealing with challenging behaviors
- Taking time for yourself
COVID-19 Resources
- How caregivers of people with dementia can navigate holidays during pandemic
- National help line run 24/7 by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) – Call 800-662-HELP (4357) a free and confidential way to find resources, local treatment facilities, support groups and more.
