Pat and Lee Weitz are founders of the Community Christian Choir, Inc., an ecumenical music ministry with members from over 47 churches throughout central and southern New Jersey. The choir, which includes singers from 6 years old to senior citizen, has been performing benefit concerts for 21 years. Concerts are free to the public, but free-will offerings have generated over $233,000. The choir donates 100% of these funds to deserving charities, including Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County.
Patricia K. Weitz is director of both the children’s and adult choirs. Pat holds a B.S. in Music Education from Mansfield University and has pursued graduate work at Westminster Choir College. Leon Weitz is the Business Manager and Secretary to the Board of Trustees. He puts his career experience to work for the choir as Audio/Video Production Manager. Lee served as an electronics specialist in the US Army during the Viet Nam war, at the Township of Hamilton Engineering Division for 39 years, and as President of CWA Local 1042 for over 20 Years. He is a proud member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hamilton Square, serving in his second 3-year term as an Elder.
