Good Morning, Volunteers!
Peace and God’s love to you! This is by far my most favorite season—the season of gratitude and remembrance!
Once again we are preparing Thanksgiving baskets for our care receivers who are in need of a little extra support and would welcome the gift. Last year we prepared 40 baskets and hope to stay within that range and our means.
Another honor: Pastor Jeff Vamos of The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville phoned to say our work was chosen by the Lawrence clergy to celebrate at The Lawrence Township Community Interfaith Service of Thanksgiving.
The service, hosted by the First Baptist Church of Eggerts’ Crossing, 121 Hillcrest Avenue, Lawrenceville will highlight the community-building work of Interfaith Caregivers, Boys and Girls Club and Every Child Valued.
The theme, “When a stranger becomes a friend,” will resonate through the sharing of Interfaith’s volunteer Coleen Mejias. Her compelling story will touch hearts as hers was touched by her care receiver through her volunteer service. Please join Interfaith, Coleen and the greater community on Tuesday, November 22, at 7:30pm.
As always, you remain in my heart and prayers.
